Biographical Info

Dr. Paridhi Shah is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics and Clinical Neurology at Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ. She is dual-trained as a pediatric neurologist and as a neuroimmunologist with particular interest in the transition-of-care from pediatric to adult care. After receiving her undergraduate degree from Monmouth University and her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine, she completed her child neurology residency at Duke University Hospital, where she served as chief resident. After completion of her residency training, she was awarded the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS) Clinical Grant to complete an Adult and Pediatric Neuroimmunology fellowship at University of Michigan. She is board-certified in Neurology with a Special Qualification in Child Neurology.

In addition to general child neurology, Dr. Shah specializes in neuroinflammation and demyelinating disorders of the central nervous system including multiple sclerosis as well as antibody-mediated diseases, including neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD) or myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody-associated disease (MOGAD). Additionally, she specializes in central nervous manifestations of systemic autoimmune diseases including sarcoidosis and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Shah is active in clinical research related to demyelinating disorders in pediatric and adult populations. She participated in several clinical trials during her time at University of Michigan, as well as presenting her research at regional, national, and international meetings including the European Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis (ECTRIMS).
