Dear Peanut,
We’ve had a very rough year and it seems like 2013 isn’t going to be any different. Honestly we’ve had a rough few years haven’t we? I look at you and can’t believe I’ve been blessed for 8 years to have you in my life. I honestly don’t know what I’d do without you. Despite how much we’ve been through or what struggles we’re facing you always have a smile on your face and it never seems to phase you.
Even if it tears me up inside.
I can’t say enough how proud I am of the young man you’re becoming. You’re so smart and have such a warm, kind heart. I see such a wonderful mix of your father and I in you. You have his talent when it comes to sports and my creative side. Plus you are oh so funny … even when you’re suppose to be in trouble!
Some days I sit and wonder what happened to my little bitty baby boy, and where this handsome young man that’s almost taller than me came from. But at the same time I’m so excited to see where our journey takes us. I want you to know how proud I am of you. I really am and can’t say it enough. I love you so much and hope you know that no matter what, Mama is always here for you!
Love you Bug!
Mama

I can totally relate to a lot of things you said. My son seems to “roll with it” too, unlike myself a lot of times.
I agree. I don’t ‘roll with it’ very well and I know in large part it’s due to making sure he’s adjusting well and all that.
Aw, what a cutie! My oldest is 8yo, too. It’s a fun age, isn’t it? (not). LOL
Lol oh yes. Just love those moody/attitude days ha!
So beautiful. Trying to hold back the tears. As I was reading, I could not help but think of my two boys. Seeing them grow each day is a beautiful thing.
Yes it’s bittersweet to say the least. My hardest part is the “letting go” a little more each day. I’m not handling that part well.
He is soo handsome. It’s fun but sad to watch the boys grow up.
Such a great age, they’re starting to really show who they’ll become, it’s so bittersweet!
Oh my goodness, he is a cutie!
Such a sweet post. Your son seems like such a great kid.
He is so handsome!! I am not looking forward to when the boys are towering over their short mama!
Lol it definitely takes some getting use to. Though the bright side is I can soon steal his sweat jackets and we are close to wearing the same size shoe ha! Good thing we like similar things (and that I’m not overly girly ha!)
