If you asked me what my favorite store was I’d easily say Kohl’s. I love this store more than any other mainly because every year my grandparents would take me school clothes shopping at Kohl’s. Another great reason would be the prices. Something I need (okay or want) is either on sale or I have a coupon/Kohl’s Cash to use on it. Also their children’s clothes are able to stand up to my son’s on the go personality … and he loves that they carry Tony Hawk’s clothing line and is quickly making that his everyday apparel … thankfully they are usually on sale when we come in. Also the clearance section online is my FAVORITE part by far. I have scored some of my favorite clothing pieces at major steals.
Now if you ask Oj what he loves about Kohl’s, he’ll tell you that his favorite part is the Kohl’s Cares Cause Merchandise for Kids because he is able to help people/kids that may not have a lot like we do, without having to spend a lot of money. He loves going to Kohl’s and seeing what their new monthly Kohl’s Cares Cause Merchandise for Kids promotion is. He loves looking at the stuffed animals and of course the stories. I was so excited when he decided to use the exchange credit from his Christmas gift to get a fun book and stuffed animal to go with. That animal is still a favorite of his AND my nieces.
Below I’ve shared a little information about this month’s program to give you a little background in case you’ve not heard of it:
Kohl’s Department Stores (NYSE: KSS) invites young readers and parents to a take a walk on the wild side while giving back to the community with the latest Kohl’s Cares® cause merchandise program. Now through the end of June, Kohl’s features exclusive Guy Parker-Rees illustrated storybooks, Down by the Cool of the Pool, Dinosaurumpus! and Giraffes Can’t Dance, through the Kohl’s Cares® cause merchandise program. Hardcover editions, coordinating plush toys, and matching tote bag are available at Kohl’s stores nationwide and online at Kohls.com for just $5 each, with 100 percent of the net profit benefitting children’s health and education initiatives nationwide.

We love that 100% of the net profit goes to benefiting children’s health and education initiatives nationwide. I also love that Oj understands how this is important and wants to use his money to give something to other children and get something we can do together and that’s read interesting books.
He was so excited when we received the Down by the Cool of the Pool and Giraffes Can’t Dance books followed by MY favorite part, and adorable stuffed Frog! He loves the books and after all the trouble of him fighting to learn to read, I can say I love hearing him read to me. Plus the proceeds of these sales go to charity AND they are so affordable at $5 each. When Oj has so many options of well priced toys and of course beautiful clothes, I have to say my heart does swell with pride a little when he opts to buy the things that will help others out.
